About Us: Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across UK and Ireland. We have a new opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our successful Finance team in Lisburn.

In this role you will be:

Ensuring all finance transactions are processed accurately, timely and according to UK GAAP and other relevant standards/legislation.
Month and year end reporting for assigned company and assistance with other month and year end reporting as directed and assisting group interaction on month and year end.
Assisting with External Audit, VAT/Tax/Customs and related returns as required.
Assistance in company cashflow forecasting and ABL facility management.
Preparation of management accounts for review with senior management.
Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis for review by the Finance Manager.
Providing visibility to Finance and Operational Managers of costs and variances.
Supporting the department managers in preparation for Budget and Forecast deadlines.
Assisting with external auditors’ requests (e.g. PWC/Mazars or Wells Fargo).
Assisting in the preparation/reviewing of the entities VAT returns.

What will help you to excel in this role:

Finalist (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)/Qualified by experience
Financial accounting experience to trial balance and management accounts level
Strong Excel experience (including ability to pivot/lookup)
Significant understanding of finance systems and required controls
Substantial understanding of Processes / Accounting Principles
Extensive experience of working in a busy pressurised finance environment
Accuracy and high-level attention to detail.
