An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and innovative Lead Nurse for our service. We are looking for an exceptional Lead Nurse who is dynamic and passionate about their work. Based in Clapham Junction, you will lead the nursing and health advising teams and work closely alongside the Clinical Service Manager to continue to develop and deliver a modern and robust service. Leadership is critical to the integration of staffing teams and services to provide holistic, accessible sexual and reproductive health care to the residents of South West London.

You will provide support to individuals and teams but be able to make decisions to strengthen performance and deliver quality outcomes for the local population.
Sexual Health South West London (SHSWL) provides services across Merton, Wandsworth and Richmond in both level 2 and 3 clinics. Our level 3 clinic is located in a purposely renovated site level 3 hub set in the bustling heart of Clapham Junction with excellent links to all forms of public transport. We are a friendly multidisciplinary team, who will support an individual's professional development.
The successful applicant will have significant experience of leading and managing staff in contraception and sexual health settings.
You will have a demonstrable track record of designing and delivering high quality and innovative operational services, working in partnership with stakeholders.
A flexible leader, you will have the ability to think strategically but provide hands-on practical problem-solving.
Have the necessary clinical skills to deliver level 3 care at a senior level which will be required for 20% of the working week; this may vary according to service needs. To provide advice & support on all aspects of GUM and Contraception care to patients, carers and nursing & medical teams working in both the hub and spoke sites.
Responsible for the delivery of specialist clinical skills to assess patient needs, provide care, manage treatment programmes, coordinate pathways and provide specialist clinical leadership across the patient caseload.
Undertake research and audit in the specialist area, providing necessary support for staff who require training around the specialist area.
Provides education and training to other staff and students, working in conjunction with the MDT, and across organisations within a network of care as applicable.
