Salary: Up to £58,000 per annum

Job description:

We are seeking a Home Manager with a proven track record in delivering high-quality care, strong business acumen, and marketing skills. In this role, you'll have the autonomy to guide our home towards an Outstanding CQC rating while leading our dedicated team.

As our Care Home Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home.

We are looking for a qualified nurse to lead our team, creating an environment that promotes dignity and independence, striving for excellence through the highest standards of care. The right candidate will be pragmatic in their approach and be able to balance running a caring and empathetic service alongside achieving business results.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and direction to the home’s staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and empathy.
  2. Ensure that the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain excellent standards of care and support.
  3. Develop and implement a well-thought-out marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home’s services to potential residents, families, and stakeholders.
  4. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns.
  5. Have oversight of all records to ensure that the home’s administrative tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. Continuously monitor and evaluate the home’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  7. Manage and mitigate risks effectively, ensuring that the home is a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.

This role could be for you if you have:

  1. Previous experience of managing a nursing home.
  2. A minimum of a Level 5 NVQ Leadership and Management.
  3. Be a Registered Nurse and hold an active NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) certificate and PIN - Desirable.
  4. You are driven, motivated and believe in the quality of care.
  5. You possess strong leadership and management qualities whilst taking on a dynamic and flexible approach to the role.
  6. Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors.
  7. Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care.

Qualifications required for the role:

  1. NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience - Desirable.
  2. Level 5 NVQ Leadership and Management.
