Job description

One Of Us is a visual effects studio founded in London in 2004 by co-directors Rachael Penfold, Dominic Parker, and Tom Debenham.

With a dynamic team of over 350 highly skilled professionals, we take pride in pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling with experience in all stages of production, from concept through to planning, photography, and post-production.

From breathtaking fantasy landscapes to gripping action sequences, our portfolio spans a diverse range of genres and award-winning projects such as Under The Skin, The Witcher, and The Crown.

Production Assistant

Reporting to the Global Head of Production, the Production Assistant role at One of Us provides support to the Producer to ensure projects run smoothly. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and collaborate well within the project team as well as the wider company support teams. They will be level-headed under pressure, super organized, and have good attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assisting the VFX Producer in day-to-day tasks.
  2. Managing and tracking all project data IO and overseeing the relevant activities of the data IO team.
  3. Client review preparation in collaboration with the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor.
  4. Taking notes in internal and external meetings.
  5. Updating the production database with any external feedback, tracking incoming and outgoing deliveries, and updating statuses.
  6. Managing and maintaining communication groups (i.e., email and ShotGrid groups).
  7. Managing the project calendar and communicating team absences.
  8. Managing new starter processes (i.e., issuing welcome emails and arranging welcome meetings).
  9. Acting as the production point of contact for the Facilities team.
  10. Project event planning and budgeting.
What we are looking for:
  1. Previous VFX production experience (desirable but not essential).
  2. Knowledge of the VFX production process from concept to completion.
  3. Good familiarity with post-production pipelines, techniques, and software.
  4. Experience with ShotGrid Software (desirable).
  5. Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Suites, especially spreadsheets (essential).
  6. Basic editorial knowledge (desirable).
  7. Basic Linux (desirable).
  8. Excellent organizational skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  10. Ability to work under pressure.
  11. Ability to prioritize tasks and work to deadlines.
  12. Excellent attention to detail.

Hours and Location:

Our core hours are 09:30 am to 18:30 pm, or 10:00 am to 19:00 pm Monday to Friday. We have a great office in Old Street where many of our teams work from.

All roles, including hybrid/remote opportunities, at One of Us require candidates to reside in the UK or France, depending on the location of the role, or must be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract. All candidates must disclose if they have an existing Right to Work in the relevant country or would require sponsorship support (i.e., Visa).
