Commercial Manager

About the Role:

As a Commercial Manager, you will focus on strategic growth within the personal motor insurance sector, working within our Personal Lines Retail team. Your role will be pivotal in helping us achieve our goal of becoming the number one insurer in the market. You will:

  1. Develop and implement innovative proposition strategies to achieve business objectives
  2. Drive strong portfolio (P&L) performance by taking ownership and leading key initiatives
  3. Lead, engage, and motivate virtual teams to deliver outstanding results
  4. Analyse diverse sources of information to make informed decisions and take decisive action
  5. Thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment that values creativity and innovation

What We're Looking For:

  1. Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the personal lines motor insurance market and key trading levers
  2. Proven experience in driving successful commercial and customer outcomes, with a focus on end-to-end performance trends across the PCW channel
  3. Ability to create and manage a pipeline of opportunities to drive brand growth and exceed targets
  4. Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire high performance
  5. Confidence in challenging the status quo, leading change, and adapting quickly to new challenges

What you’ll get for this role:

  1. Salary of Circa £55,000 (National) and Circa £65,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications).
  2. Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  3. Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  4. 29 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
