MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

2BR is looking to recruit a Marketing and Communications Manager to assist Chambers with its marketing activities and promote Chambers’ continued excellence as a leading ‘tier one’ set across all its practice areas.

Job Description

Working on a part-time basis (on average 2.5 days per week subject to below), the job description includes:

  1. Leading the development of 2BR’s brand platform and elevating 2BR’s visibility and influence across a variety of channels, including social media.
  2. Regular updating and maintenance of Chambers’ website with news items, announcements, changes to barristers’ profiles, and publications of articles and blogs.
  3. Assisting with the maintenance of Chambers’ social media accounts, contributing and co-ordinating posts from the website newsfeed.
  4. Assisting and supporting in the organisation of Chambers’ events such as seminars, conferences, and social events including invitation lists, delegate packs, and presentations, pre-and post-event organisation.
  5. Supporting barrister members in their individual marketing and career development endeavours.
  6. Design and delivery of outreach programmes to universities and relevant stakeholders – University Law Societies, careers officers, as well as diversity and inclusion / social mobility initiatives.
  7. Responsible for helping co-ordinate and manage chambers' directory submissions.

Essential skills

Manager level candidate with all-round experience in marketing, events, and public relations for professionals. Knowledge of traditional media outlets as well as innovative promotions (new media, metaverse, etc.). Experience in marketing brand development and in events management for promotional purposes. Strong communication and organisational skills, highly personable, and able to work well under pressure with accuracy.

Desirable

Knowledge of the legal sector and/or experience dealing with similar professions. Experience of working with Adobe InDesign, Canva, and Photoshop would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.

How to apply

Competitive salary and terms. Flexibility will be required, for example, in a week when there is an event in chambers, additional work may be required. The role can be hybrid but it is essential for the candidate to be available and willing to meet and work with all members and staff in our fully accessible modern chambers in the heart of ‘legal London’. The successful candidate will report to Chambers’ Management Committee.
