Job description

Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead to join their team on the AFTERNOON shift from 3:30pm-11:30pm.

This role requires an experienced Maintenance Team Leader holding a valid Millwright License -433A OR Electrical license- 309A or 442A AND with at least two (2) years of experience in a similar supervisory role.

As the Maintenance Team Lead you will be compensated with an hourly rate between $36.00-43.00/ hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Millwright 433A License OR a valid Electrical license in the province of Ontario (309A or 442) is a MUST
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Team Lead OR Supervisory role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to action
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, lead and achieve outcomes within deadlines and schedules
  • Proficient with ERP and production planning software
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of daily maintenance department activities on your shift, including supervision and training of maintenance technicians
  • Ensure equipment performance through OEE and efficiency metrics
  • Provide daily management and support for operational success
  • Conduct emergency equipment repairs during production
  • Provide leadership and coaching to employees, evaluated based on employee satisfaction
  • Allocate resources effectively to complete Work Orders and PMs as assigned by Maintenance Manager & Scheduler
  • Implement strategies in-line with company initiatives
  • Develop training plans for mechanics
  • Identify and continuously strive to reduce waste
  • Promote company’s mission, vision, and training culture
  • Review and report training effectiveness through performance analytics
  • Manage disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews
  • Monitor time and attendance, approve vacation requests
  • Conduct incident, accident, and non-conformity investigations
  • Issue disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Manage waterlogs and other assigned duties
  • Adhere to and enforce GMP’s, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines, Company policies, Health & Safety Rules and all Federal, provincial, and local requirements
