Job description

ECT of English / Media / Drama Required For A School in West London

Strategy Education is working on behalf of an exciting and inspiring school in West London, currently rated Outstanding by OfSTED.

The school is looking to recruit a member of staff to add value to the expressive arts side of the curriculum. They seek someone who can offer a combination of English, Media, and Drama to support a timetabling puzzle. The split across all three subject areas could vary depending on the strengths of the candidate.

The successful candidate will join them for the new academic year. The department is strong, with dedicated support staff. English, Media, and Drama are taught across the key stages, and there is a significant update for all subjects at A Level.

You will be expected to become an integral part of the team and work with teachers and support staff in the wider faculty and full staff team. In turn, you will be supported through the ECT pathway. You will receive the support of your mentor to meet all teaching standards, and in line with ECT, you will have a 10% reduction on your timetable in year 1, and 5% in year 2.

All contracts are permanent, and you will be employed directly by the school, paid in line with Teachers Pay and Conditions.

The successful candidate will have a relevant undergraduate degree and will be subject to a variety of checks including eligibility to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS, and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement. Strategy Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
