Job description

Job Title: eCommerce Manager

Location: Clapham, London (Office-based)

Reports to: Head of eCommerce

Employment Type: Full-time, 5 days per week, 9am-6pm

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and data-driven eCommerce Manager to take ownership of our online store operations, customer experience, and website performance. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless and optimized shopping journey, from product discovery to post-purchase engagement. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Shopify, understands conversion optimization, and can leverage data to enhance the overall eCommerce strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Conversion Optimization
  • Manage and maintain the Shopify store, ensuring an optimal user experience and high conversion rates.

  • Optimize product pages, landing pages, and checkout flow for improved conversion and AOV.

  • Conduct A/B testing to enhance site performance and identify best practices.

  • Work with developers and designers to ensure site functionality, speed, and mobile responsiveness.

Customer Experience & Service
  • Oversee customer service processes, ensuring quick and effective responses to customer inquiries, returns, and complaints.

  • Use customer feedback and behavior insights to improve website usability and satisfaction.

  • Implement strategies for customer retention, loyalty programs, and post-purchase engagement.

Inventory & Product Management
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure stock availability and accurate product listings.

  • Maintain up-to-date product descriptions, pricing, and categorization.

  • Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize order fulfillment and delivery efficiency.

SEO & Organic Traffic Growth
  • Optimize on-site SEO, including metadata, product descriptions, and internal linking.

  • Conduct keyword research and implement best practices to improve search rankings.

  • Monitor and improve organic traffic using Google Analytics and SEO tools.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and analyze key eCommerce metrics (CVR, AOV, LTV, traffic sources, bounce rate, etc.).

  • Generate performance reports and provide data-driven insights to optimize sales and conversion rates.

  • Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

Email & Retention Marketing
  • Oversee email automation (e.g., abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, promotions).

  • Develop customer retention strategies to increase repeat purchases.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an eCommerce management role.

  • Strong experience managing Shopify and eCommerce platforms.

  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience best practices.

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and Google Analytics.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and implement improvements.

  • Experience in customer service management and order fulfillment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
