Job description

Job title- eCommerce Assistant

Location- Melmerby, HG45NB

Working hours- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic individual to join the Retail eCommerce Team. If you’re hard-working, creative and confident with great inter-personal skills and a ‘can-do’ positive attitude; this could be the role for you! You’ll be resilient, and tenacious with the ability to become a valued and trusted member of this hard-working & fun team. A keen interest in eCommerce, retail and brands is essential.

What does the role involve?

Hemingways is looking for an organised individual to join our Retail eCommerce Team. This team manages all our retail relationships, working with many high-profile retail brands (including John Lewis, IKEA, Selfridges, Ticketmaster, Primark etc) to deliver best-in-class solutions for their pre-paid Gift Card activities.

The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills, good analytical skills and the ability to organise their own workload in a busy environment.

What are the key role responsibilities?
  1. Running weekly/monthly/ad hoc reporting on behalf of our clients
  2. Creating new gift card products on our internal platforms
  3. Routine SEO and content amends to company websites
  4. Preparing data for promotional presentations
  5. Supporting the team with retail projects
  6. Creating content for social media and website blogs
  7. Participating in retailer calls/meetings
  8. Opportunity to work and gain experience in other areas of the business
  9. Opportunity to assist with the training of new and temporary employees
  10. Updating imagery & copy content across our portfolio of websites
