As the first permanent in-house team member, the successful candidate will oversee project management, liaise with clients, and conduct surveys and reports with the assistance of subcontractors. This role offers significant autonomy, allowing the candidate to shape the direction of the business as it grows. The role also presents the opportunity to influence the development of their own benefits package, subject to approval by the business owner. This is a unique opportunity for a professional with a proven track record in managing projects at a high level to make a significant impact on a dynamic and evolving consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Liaise with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure project goals are met
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business and play a key role in its growth
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to industry standards

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a growing business
  • Strong knowledge of ecological survey techniques, assessments, and reporting

  • Relevant degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., CIEEM) is desirable but not essential

Benefits and How to Apply
