An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Ecologist to join their Street Scene Services team. This full-time role involves working closely with the Senior Ecologist to provide vital ecological advice and ensure biodiversity is prioritized in various projects. The successful candidate will lead initiatives such as the development of Biodiversity Net Gain systems and support the Local Nature Recovery Strategy. An opportunity exists in the Council’s Street Scene Services for an Ecologist. This is a career graded post.
What will be expected from me?
The overall role of the post is to work closely with the Council's Senior Ecologist. Provide ecological advice on a wide range of Street Scene services work areas and projects, ensuring that biodiversity is considered at an early stage to maximise ecological benefits of the services work.
Alongside the Senior Ecologist, the post holder will also have a leading role on:
The post holder will deputise for the Senior Ecologist, represent the authority at external events, and build constructive working relationships with other Council services, regional and national agencies, and Government departments.
