Weekdays: Monday-Friday as needed; days may vary, always 8am-4:30pm; no weekends, nights, or call.

Previous hospital experience is necessary. The technologist will be responsible for the operation of the ultrasound equipment in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. This includes outpatient, inpatient, and emergent situations. The sonographer needs to be able to perform all basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures; including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and 3-D LVEF exams; edits tracing, makes measurements, and enters data into a computer. Additionally, the sonographer will meet departmental needs including recognizing arrhythmias and implications of specific cardiac and related diagnoses to obtain optimal studies. The sonographer will be responsible for working with DH Cardiology to ensure imaging and reporting is correct and transferring between the facilities accurately.

Qualifications:
  1. Minimum – Associates Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS – eligible background.
  2. RDCS (AE) certified
  3. RVT (VT) recommended but not required
  4. Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire upon start date.
  5. BLS certified
  6. Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospital settings requested
