Job Title: IT Infrastructure Support Engineer
Our client, the UK’s leading provider of resilient and energy-efficient critical physical infrastructure and utility services from the desktop to the server room to the data centre for a range of public sector, SME and corporate clients throughout the UK and Europe, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their team.
This role will be a blend of office-based remote monitoring activity with some physical site visits (approximately 60/40 in favour of the office).

The Role:
- Provide effective remote monitoring and critical infrastructure support (Temperature/Humidity/Leak Detection etc.) to customers regarding the company’s products, ensuring swift issue resolution.
- Working on Data Centre-related infrastructure projects including power outages and replacements.
- Managing complex inter-rack/room cable infrastructure, providing a stable platform for IT infrastructure and desktop connectivity.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies related to the company’s product line and industry.
- Contribute to enhancing training content on the company’s products in the UK.
- Collaborate with product management to provide customer perspective on product functionality.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- An IT professional with knowledge and experience from within the BMS/Data Centre environment.
- Experience in external, site-based work is desirable.
- Familiarity with using ticketing systems, commitment to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and strong analytical abilities.
- Expertise in IT/IOT technologies like HTML, OPC, SNMP, REST, MQTT, and network management.
- Experience with HVAC Controls, Building Automation Systems (BAS) communication protocols such as BACnet IP and MSTP, Modbus, and Lonworks would be desirable.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region including some unsocial hours.
- Full UK driving licence.
