Senior Auditor - (Ref ORP003)

Purpose of the role:

Affinia is recruiting for an Audit Senior to come and join our Orpington office where we work to deliver a broad range of audit services to a diverse range of business clients. This opportunity would suit an individual who is looking to progress their career who is part or fully qualified (ACA/ACCA).

Accountabilities:

  • Planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to managers and partners.
  • Preparation of accounts and reports as well as other assignments as required.
  • Co-ordinate planning with clients, including consulting with relevant departments within the firm.
  • Leading on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget.
  • Business development including promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects.
  • Review of work of juniors offering guidance and support.
  • Develop strong client relationships with regular attendance at client meetings.
  • Consult with financial institutions such as Banks, Factoring Companies, etc.
  • Ensure quality of work and all practice procedures conform with regulations and Affinia protocols and methodology.
  • Attend external events and represent the business in a professional manner.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in Audit and Assurance within an accountancy practice.
  • Experience of leading external audit assignments from planning to completion stages under International Standards on Auditing.
  • Experience of preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills with senior staff and clients.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office suite – Intermediate/Advanced user of Word and Excel.
  • Sound knowledge of key risks applicable to specific audits and aware of own limitations and when to ask for assistance.
  • Excellent organisational and time management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
