Nursery Room Leader – Croydon

Role: Room Leader (NVQ level 3 or above)

Hours: 40 hours a week – (Full time)

Area: Croydon

Our client is seeking an experienced Level 3 qualified Room Leader at their growing nursery in the Croydon area.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting Staff in the allocated rooms and ensuring adult/child ratios are met.
2. Observing children and managing their learning and development records.
3. Working with EYFS Curriculum and planning exciting age-appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors.
4. Being a key person, completing observations and reports where required.
5. Building positive relationships with parents and Ofsted.
6. Working to nursery policy and procedures in relation to Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
7. Attending staff meetings and training as required.
8. Maintaining confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification, or be training towards achieving this qualification.
• A current DBS.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within an Early Years setting.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS.
• Functional Skills English and Maths.
