Forklift Operator Heathrow

Position: Forklift Operator Heathrow (Counterbalance - B1 OR B2)
Location: London Heathrow Airport
Pay rate: £13.50 p/h to £29.56 p/h
Day Shifts: 4 on 2 off, 08:00 AM to 16:30 PM, 16:00 PM to 00:30 AM
Night Shift: 4 on 2 off, 22:00 PM to 06:30 AM

As a Forklift Operator Heathrow you will receive:

1. Pre 12 weeks £13.50 p/h for day shifts and £14.00 p/h night shift, Post 12 weeks £16.12 p/h.
2. Premium overtime rates after 12 weeks, £22.17 p/h between Monday to Friday and £29.56 p/h for Weekends and Bank holidays.
3. Free Cargo Operative Training.

To be successful for this Forklift Operator Heathrow position:

1. A valid counterbalance forklift licence
2. Minimum 6 month experience using counterbalance forklift.
3. Ability to load and unload parcels between 15kg to 25kg.
4. Be prepared to work in a manual environment.
5. Provide 5 year referenceable history.

Forklift Operator Heathrow duties will include:

1. Using forklift to load and unload air freight cargo pallets to and from vehicles.
2. Build and break down aircraft pallets and store in warehouse racks.
3. Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
4. Scanning cargo and completion of airfreight documentation.
5. Performing other warehouse duties when required.

Forklift Operator Heathrow will be subject to:

1. A 5-year checkable reference history for vetting purpose.
2. A clear DBS (Criminal Record Check).
3. Proficiency in numeracy and literacy, alongside the ability to pass DfT Cargo Operative Training.
