Job description

A highly successful business is looking for a capable Accounts Assistant to join its expanding team, based in Stoke. Please note, the firm embraces flexible working so you will be able to work from home 2 days per week.


In order to be suitable for this role you must have proven experience working as an Accounts Assistant or Credit Controller within a busy finance department, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The primary objective of this role is to support the Accounts team in ensuring that all payments are collected within the agreed terms. You will have the ability to build relationships with clients and will deliver great customer service. This role would suit a positive and friendly Accounts Assistant who enjoys building relationships and has a flexible approach to work.


In addition to your credit control responsibilities you will maintain the sales and purchase ledgers. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask, work well under pressure, have good data entry skills with a high level of attention to detail, be proficient with database and spreadsheet packages (specifically Microsoft Excel & Word) and have knowledge of accounting systems.
