Prospero Teaching are seeking passionate early childhood + primary teachers for our UK based clients. If you are looking for an opportunity to work with children 0-5 years of age, then this role is for you! We are hiring for schools in London, Bristol, Southampton & Cambridge.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Supporting children across the curriculum, often with a particular focus on maths, reading and writing
  2. Providing extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language
  3. Helping develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
  4. Motivating and encouraging pupils
  5. Assisting with marking and correcting work
  6. Attending meetings and reviews
  7. Helping with school events, trips and activities
  8. Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy
  9. Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedures
  10. Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures
  11. Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
  12. Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising

To qualify, you must:

  1. Have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma
  2. Have sensitivity, understanding and patience
  3. Be able to remain calm in stressful situations
  4. Have a positive attitude and desire towards working with children
  5. Be flexible and open to change
  6. Have excellent verbal communication skills
