Role: Business Development Director (Hunter)

Location: This position can be based anywhere in the U.S.A.

The Business Development Director position is a key sales role within the Healthcare (Payor and Provider) Sales team for North America. The candidate will play a hunter role, responsible for acquiring new clients for HCL. The role is supported by on-site and offshore Pre-Sales & Solution teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. New business development activities through direct sales.
  2. Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets established by the Sales Head and execute business development.
  3. Achieve lead generation, prospecting and other sales management goals designed to build an optimal sales pipeline.
  4. Manage the end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, multi-day client workshops, RFP submission, negotiation and deal signing. The candidate is the focal point for all communication and sales activities with prospects and customers.
  5. Work in close collaboration with HCL’s presales team & delivery teams to ensure that proposed offerings and services fully meet customers’ business and technology needs.
  6. Adhere to all HCL Sales, Human Resource, and corporate ethical policies, standards and guidelines.
  7. Demonstrate strong personal communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility and trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong hunter profile with a proven track record of success in selling Digital to Providers and Payors.
  2. Have experience selling medium to large multiyear integrated deals.
  3. Must have experience in working in a sales quota based role.
  4. Track record of independently building relationship with C-level client contacts.
  5. Transformation/Technology outsourcing services preferably for Healthcare sector.
  6. At least 8 years B2B business development experience with the ability to understand market trends and attract new clients to consider complex Engineering and Digital Transformation services.
  7. Possess experience selling broad range of “IT Services” – Digital Transformation/ Application Services/ Data and Analytics/ Infrastructure, Cloud and Security Services, Digital Workplace, Clinical Application Management and emerging technologies for at least 8-10 years.
  8. Independence, energy, tenacity, persistence, and a never-say-die attitude.
  9. Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  10. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership ability.
