About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Success Engineer who is eager to deep dive into Apache Kafka and apply their expertise to support our customers in solving their most challenging problems.

Our control panel is packed with intriguing features, as well as advanced technology that reimagines Apache Kafka systems. Through cultivating a deep understanding of our products, you’ll strategise on how to best support our customers to provide them with the most value.

What will you be doing?
  1. Onboarding new enterprise customers with Conduktor’s range of products
  2. Working closely with customers to train and enable them to use Conduktor products
  3. Providing premier support to enterprise customers when they have technical issues with Conduktor products and ensuring comprehensive technical troubleshooting with suitable workarounds and best practices
  4. Coordinating efforts and offering root-cause analysis on complicated technical issues (bugs, performance issues, security)
  5. Improving product documentation and authoring knowledge-base articles
  6. Advocating on the customer's behalf and providing feedback to our Product/Engineering team to improve our solutions and product roadmap
  7. Continuously learning about our products, Apache Kafka, and the data streaming ecosystem to update our teams and help our customers
What experience are we looking for?
  1. You have always been deeply interested in technology
  2. You’re interested in learning and mastering how Conduktor tooling can help in the data streaming world
  3. You have consulting or customer-facing experience
  4. You have hands-on experience with distributed technologies
  5. You have demonstrable experience with Docker / Kubernetes
  6. You have experience troubleshooting applications running on Linux (resource contention, network bottlenecks, etc.)
  7. You can read and understand code
  8. You have excellent communication skills: clear, concise and effective communication with customers and colleagues
  9. You demonstrate a good level of self-motivation, autonomy, curiosity and a positive attitude
Nice to have
  1. Knowledge of streaming or messaging systems like Apache Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, and JMS
  2. Previous experience as a software engineer with a background in software development, coupled with a passion for customer support
  3. As a bonus, you have experience in a fast-growing and scaling business similar to Conduktor. You enjoy having the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and are excited by the possibilities of a business that is still in its early stages
