Job description

Provide safe expeditious ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument & Visual flight rules when arriving, departing or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license.

Ensure that all services are provided in conformance with Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge Airport instructions including MATS Part 1, MATS 2 and the Cambridge Airport Safety Management System and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations.

An exciting new position has opened up within our airport. We are currently seeking an additional Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) for our airport in Cambridge.

As an ATCO you will provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument & Visual flight rules when arriving, departing, or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge City Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license.

You will ensure that all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP 493 (MATS Part 1), MATS Part 2, the Cambridge City Airport Safety Management System, and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations.

Qualifications

  • Hold a UK CAA Air Traffic Controller’s license with APP rating and ideally ADI, APS rating and must validate this at Cambridge as part of their continued employment.
  • Hold a current UK CAA Medical Certificate
  • ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency

Desirable:

  • Met Observers Qualification
  • OJTI, UCA Endorsement
  • Verifier/Evaluator Qualification
  • To have validated ATCO Class G Airspace experience
  • To be an experienced OJTI and/or unit training officer
