We provide a full range of acute clinical services from Northampton General Hospital and Danetre Hospital in Daventry. We are a designated cancer centre and have recently invested in a number of additional specialist services, including in-patient renal services and interventional cardiology. We are excited to offer a new rotational programme at a more senior level for our pharmacists at NGH in medicine through cardiology, respiratory, stroke, gastroenterology, and admissions. This will enable you to continue your development and increase your skills and knowledge across a wider portfolio with the opportunity to specialise.
To work within a clinical medical specialty for 6 months at a time, building relations with other staff to ensure safe and effective medicines optimisation for patients.

To work with the Pharmacy Clinical Team to provide a comprehensive Pharmacy Service within a designated clinical area, specialities including:
Medicine – Admissions, ED, Renal, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, amongst others
To provide information, advice and guidance on the safe, effective and economical use of medicines and to challenge poor practice. To optimise medicines management by reconciling drug histories and performing structured medication reviews.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration. The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020.
