FAMILY SOLICITOR

Job description

We are seeking a full or part-time qualified Family Solicitor (minimum 2 years PQE) with expertise in Family Law to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision, including:

• Divorce and separation
• Children, including who the children live with and arrangements between the parents
• Enforcement of child arrangements
• Maintenance
• Pre-Nuptial and Separation Agreements
• Domestic violence and abuse, including Court intervention or other protection where necessary
• Cohabitation issues, including those involving children
• International cases including finance and the movement of children

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a mixed caseload of private family matters
• Preparing and drafting documentation
• Keeping the case management system up to date
• Handling sensitive family matters
• Court representation
• Generating new business

About you:

• The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide excellent service to current clients, generate new clients and deal with complex cases.
• You will be expected to provide high-quality legal advice, liaise with clients effectively, draft legal documents, and represent clients in court where necessary.
• You will be confident, well-presented and able to work on your own initiative.
• Self-starter and proactive individual able to manage their own casework
• Excellent attention to detail in managing complex cases
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards
• Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• A proactive, client-focused approach
