Job Title - 2nd Line IT Support Engineer - 6 Month FTC

Department - Technology

Salary - £28,000 per annum FTE

Location - Shoreham-by-Sea

We are offering a 6 month fixed term contract for this role, with an annual salary of £28,000 (pro-rata for the duration of the contract).

We are now recruiting for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer.

This position is dedicated to providing remote and onsite support specifically for Focus Group employees. The role involves offering 1st and 2nd line assistance to support our growing business. Daily tasks include managing a help desk queue, working with colleagues to resolve issues, and ensuring tasks are completed within the specified SLAs.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties

  1. Be responsible for dealing with 2nd line support issues that come into the helpdesk.
  2. A natural problem solver, you are willing to deliver tasks individually whilst integrating with a friendly team.
  3. Conscientious with a strong work ethic, energy, and resourcefulness to deliver change.
  4. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

Minimum Requirements

  1. At least three years’ experience in an IT support role.
  2. Ideally worked on an IT Support Helpdesk previously, in a managed service environment.
  3. Excellent telephone and remote support skills.
  4. Experience in Windows Server & Desktop OS, Exchange, Office 365 and other standard Microsoft packages.
  5. Experience in networking (firewalls, routers, switches, VPN, wireless).
  6. Experience with VLANs, Hyper V, VM Ware and other virtual technologies.
