Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor and work on exciting civil engineering projects in the Ipswich area, specifically on surfacing projects.

Key responsibilities for this Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor role:

1. Coordinating with, reporting to, and implementing the reasonable directives of the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
2. Ensuring prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and subsequent cash collection together with the preparation of sub-contractor payments.
3. Ensuring the timely submission of all relevant data required to monitor and analyze individual contract performance on a monthly and quarterly basis thereafter.
4. Involvement in dispute avoidance/resolution.

Experience required for this role:

1. Graduate/Trainee candidates will be considered.
2. Surveying Degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
3. Good knowledge of standard forms of contract.

Package offered for this Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyor role:

1. Up to £28,000 negotiable based on experience.
2. Excellent pension.
3. Generous holiday allowance plus bank holidays.
