  • Work closely with journalists and editors, providing expert SEO advice, best practice guidance, training sessions, and content optimisations.
  • Drive content performance through competitor audits, keyword gap analysis, identification of emerging trends and seasonal opportunities, and innovation in on-page formats aligned with new channel trends.
  • Work to commercial & revenue-based KPIs, understanding the impact of decisions made at the top of the funnel.
  • Inform event-planning, performing keyword research and working with the news SEO team to optimise performance for key commercial events such as Black Friday.
  • Stay up to date on SEO developments, particularly in News and eCommerce, attending industry events and keeping ahead of the search engine ecosystem.
  • Assist the Head of Evergreen SEO in identifying and assessing new search-led business opportunities.

  • Experience managing SEO content projects from initiation to completion.
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across the business and with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using multiple industry-leading tools (GSC, Ahrefs, SemRush etc).
  • Numerate and fluent in aggregating and analysing core campaign performance metrics.
