Energy Efficiency Manager

Summary

As Energy Efficiency Manager, you will lead and manage energy/utilities efficiency across our retail stores and support centres, reducing overall consumption and delivering against budget and cost reduction targets.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption, implement sustainable practices, and optimise Store/Support Centre performance to meet both cost-saving and environmental objectives.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Conduct energy/utilities audits across retail stores and support centres to identify inefficiencies, assess energy consumption patterns, and recommend energy-saving solutions.
• Analyse and challenge Store and support centre energy performance using league tables to identify patterns and themes to then drive into efficiency actions.
• Work with energy bureau to oversee Energy Efficiency projects, analysing impact and measuring results. Act as the main point of contact for energy-related projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including facilities management, Store Directors, Store Teams, and external contractors, to implement energy-saving measures. Develop and deliver energy-saving communications/training for employees and stakeholders to encourage energy-conscious behaviors across all properties.
• Manage relationships with energy service providers, contractors, and equipment suppliers. Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and solutions for energy reduction.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include:

• Building services engineering or energy management experience or familiarity would be preferable.
• Experience in external auditing.
• Experience in energy efficiency initiatives/ESG/Carbon.
• Data analytics experience.
• Good communication & influencing skills.
