KS1 Music Teacher

We have a wonderful school that is seeking a passionate and creative KS1 Music Teacher to inspire young learners through engaging and interactive music lessons. This is an exciting opportunity to foster a love for music and support children's early musical development. This role begins March 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Music Teacher:

• Plan and deliver fun and engaging music lessons for KS1 pupils
• Introduce children to basic musical concepts, rhythms, and instruments
• Encourage singing, movement, and creative expression through music
• Organise and support school performances and musical events
• Adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND students
• Work collaboratively with other teachers to integrate music into the wider curriculum

Ideal KS1 Music Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
• A degree in Music, Education, or a related field
• Experience teaching music to young children, preferably in a school setting
• Enthusiasm for music education and the ability to engage and inspire young learners
• Strong communication and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher
• Ability to play an instrument (e.g., piano, guitar) is desirable
