This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Boutique Fitness chain as a Studio Manager, as they launch their next site, with an opportunity for further company-wide growth.

We are looking for a dynamic, commercially minded and results-driven leader with a passion for fitness and business management. On behalf of our client, we are seeking a motivated Studio Manager to oversee the operations of a thriving and fast growing boutique fitness brand. As Studio Manager, you will play a pivotal role in launching and subsequently driving the success of the site and ensuring an exceptional experience for the members.

The Role...

● Salary: £36k + Bonus / Commission

● Working Hours: 40 hours p/w (minimum)

● Leave: 28 Days per annum. (incl. Bank Holidays)

● Experience teaching Reformer required

This opportunity will see you responsible for the the day to day autonomous running of the facilities, inspiring and managing a the team to drive performance, whilst developing a community, provide excellent levels of customer service, and consistently going above and beyond to deliver.

You will be at the forefront of the business' growth and will take the lead on all membership sales and managing the team - from lead to membership conversion. You will be responsible for maintaining the standard of excellence in the studio and from all employees, as well as onboarding and hiring new team members. This role also leads the day-to-day management of the studio and member care, as well as leading the coaching team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the studio, overseeing all operational aspects, including sales, marketing, finance, staffing, and member services.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue goals, increase membership sales, and drive profitability.
  • Manage and motivate a team of dedicated members, including trainers, front-of-house representatives, and maintenance personnel, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members, addressing their needs, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring high levels of member satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and financial metrics to make data-driven decisions and identify areas for improvement and growth.
  • Lead marketing initiatives to promote the gym, increase brand awareness, and attract new members through various channels, such as social media, community outreach, and partnerships.
  • Ensure the gym's facilities, equipment, and amenities are well-maintained, clean, and safe for members and staff, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new fitness programs, and emerging technologies to enhance the gym's offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement, providing ongoing training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for staff members.

The Person:

  • Some experience in a management role within the fitness or wellness industry, with a track record of achieving business objectives and helping drive growth.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent business acumen, financial management skills, and the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with members, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of fitness industry trends, member needs, and customer service best practices.
  • Demonstrated marketing and sales expertise to drive membership acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Proficiency in using software systems for managing member databases, scheduling, and financial reporting.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • First Aid certification and knowledge of health and safety standards within a fitness facility.
