Equifind are working with a fast growth venture capital business based in Soho who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join one of their impressive portfolio businesses. It’s a super exciting business that are fashioned in the space tech industry, and have been pioneers in their respective field. They operate by building specialist launch vehicles and habitats for human exploration!

To date they now have 30 people in the business, and given the aggressive growth; are looking to bolster out the finance team to cope with the high demand. Currently with a Finance Director and another Financial Accountant (1-2 years PQE) who are manning the fort, you’ll be plunged straight into an incredibly varied role covering financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting & forecasting, implementing systems and driving value add work throughout the business as they keep expanding.

The HQ is in Soho, but given have multiple sites across Southern UK, so occasional travel will happen to the different areas. It’s an exciting prospect for someone who really wants a broad role, where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the month end close and reporting cycle
• Preparation and review of month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation and control of monthly management information
• Compiling monthly business reviews for board level including presentation
• Review and management of work performed by an off-shore finance department
• Preparation of annual financial and ownership of the year end audit process
• Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax and any other tax returns
• Assisting finance team with integrations of new acquisitions
• Driving continuous process improvement and efficiencies
• Lead of project work as and when required
• Review and preparation of regular cash forecasting requirements

Application Criteria:

• ACA or CA qualified
• Possess a minimum of 0-1 years post qualified
• US GAAP is not essential, but would be welcome!
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-growing environment
