Location: Uk, Remote (in travelling distance to a regional office - Lincolnshire, Bristol, Birmingham or Livingston)
We are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our revenue growth and expand our client base. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the events industry and a proven track record in sales, business development, or account management.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the senior leadership team to develop and execute a business development plan to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
Identify and secure new business opportunities across various sectors.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and potential clients.
Use CRM and lead gen software to manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
Work closely with the operational team to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Represent Five Star Events Group at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Prepare and present proposals, pitches, quotes and contracts to potential clients.
Monitor and report on sales KPI’s, pipeline activity, and revenue targets.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns and promotional strategies via LinkedIn.
Key Requirements
Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the crewing, events and production industries.
Strong network within the events sector.
A dynamic approach to business development and a willingness to try new methods and technologies to find leads.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to close deals and build relationships.
A self-starter with a result-driven mindset and the ability to work independently.
Experience in tendering, proposals, and contract negotiation is preferable.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM systems, lead generation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Passion for the events industry and a deep understanding of its dynamics.
Full UK driving license.
