Job description

Based in Basingstoke, Hampshire our client is looking for a level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse. Candidates will need to have a real passion for working in early years.

Person Specification:
  1. NVQ Childcare qualification at level 3 or above
  2. Experience of working in an early years setting
  3. Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework
  4. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
  5. Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Responsibilities:
  1. Working effectively as part of a team.
  2. Working with Early Years Foundation Stage, planning age appropriate activities.
  3. The care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
  4. Key worker responsibilities, keeping of development records and observations.
  5. Keeping accident, medication and risk assessment records.
  6. Supporting children at meal times and with personal care.
  7. Participating in parent evenings, nursery events such as open days and children's outings.
  8. Attendance of staff meetings as arranged by the Nursery Manager.
  9. Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
