Class 1 Driver

Class 1 ADR Multidrop Driver Days
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Shift times: 7am starts, 10-12 hour days, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: £14.16 per hour (7 hour guarantee in place)

We're looking for full-time, Class 1 Days Drivers to join us at our site in Bury St Edmunds. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services including Drayage, Global freight forwarding, and Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

What You'll Do on a Typical Day:

1. Multidrop deliveries between customer sites
2. On average 12-14 drops across East Anglia - drops will be all similar postcode areas.
3. Typically, 1 trailer swap and collection to carry out.
4. Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
5. In the absence of a customer forklift driver, you will need to use a pallet truck to unload pallets off the trailer.
6. Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork.
7. Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

1. Must have multidrop experience!
2. Must have a full ADR licence!
3. HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
4. No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
5. ADR preferred but is not a necessity.
6. A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
7. Multidrop delivery experience.
8. Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
