Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 + up to £10,000 Bonus

Role Overview:

The role of the Area Sales Manager Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories will involve:

1. Field sales role, selling the company’s distributed range of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights, and Roofing Accessories.
2. Promoting a large portfolio of products including Tile, Ridge and Eaves Vents, Valley Troughs, Joining Gutters, Abutment Soakers, Dry Fix Roofing Systems, Roofing Membranes, Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet, PVC Roofing Sheet, Bitumen Roofing Sheet, Flat Glazing, Dome Rooflights, Flat Glass Rooflights, and Hygienic Cladding.
3. Selling into 70% builders merchants and 30% roofing merchants, with a focus on 20% nationals and 80% independent merchants and buying group members.
4. Responsible for circa 200+ builders merchants/roofing merchants accounts, visiting accounts with a minimum £2,000 turnover (approximately 80 merchants).
5. Inheriting a turnover between £3m-£4m, currently performing in line with budget expectations.
6. Working for a market-leading national plastics distributor.
7. Launching a wide range of new products, providing significant opportunities for business development within existing and new accounts.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager with:

1. Experience selling to builders merchants or roofing merchants.
2. Open to all building product backgrounds.
3. Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
4. High energy levels and a go-getter attitude.
5. A proactive approach with a "knock on doors" mentality.
6. A desire to progress in their career.
7. 2-3 years proven field sales territory management experience.
8. Specific knowledge of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights, and Roofing Accessories is not required.
9. CRM proficiency and a high level of numeracy, IT capability, communication, and organizational skills.
