An opportunity exists for suitable individuals to work within the Facility Operations as a Cleaner at Walbottle Academy.

Grade N1 - £12.60 per hour inclusive of Real Living Wage

2 x 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2:15pm to 5:45pm.

What we are looking for:
Newcastle City Council is currently looking for reliable and friendly people with a positive attitude to join our Facility Services team as a Cleaner. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

About the role:
Working as a team and using your own initiative, daily duties will involve cleaning designated areas such as corridors, classrooms, offices, and toilet areas using required equipment. Responsibilities include emptying bins, mopping and vacuuming floors, so regular stooping, bending, and lifting will be required. Candidates will need to have a basic understanding of both written and spoken English due to the use of chemicals.
