Regional Group Admin Support

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week
Salary: £30,740 p/a (starting salary), plus excellent benefits package
Location: London, Farringdon, Hybrid working available

Do you have experience working with volunteers? Do you have strong verbal and written communication skills? If you’ve answered yes, then you may be our next Regional Group Admin Support.

IStructE is a charity and the professional body for structural engineers. We have a global membership who have designed many of the world’s iconic structures as well as many of the buildings and bridges we take almost for granted in our daily lives.

Creating safer structures for the benefit of the public is at the heart of our remit and this includes environmental sustainability with structural engineers and the Institution at the heart of the impact construction has on natural resources and climate change.

We are passionate about inclusion and work hard to help those with talent, irrespective of background, to find and develop a route into the profession. Many of our members work to support the world’s most vulnerable communities, especially those living in places prone to natural hazards such as earthquakes and extreme flooding.

The Role:

The Regional Group Admin Support is responsible for assisting with administrative support to the Regional Groups under the Structured for Success initiative. This role involves working with Regional Groups to promote and develop their regional work, including building relationships with local universities and supporting the membership journey. Additionally, the Regional Group Admin Support facilitates collaboration and the sharing of best practices among Regional Groups.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

  1. Experience writing minutes, agendas, and administrative work
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working with volunteers/members would be advantageous.
