We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Marketing team based in London on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover the maternity leave of an existing employee.

Role overview

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to join our Marketing team based in London on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover the maternity leave of an existing employee. The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing technology, both in terms of strategy & innovation but also implementation and harnessing for competitive advantage. This role will focus on the delivery of key marketing initiatives utilising Marketo and on overseeing core operational processes.

Key accountabilities

  • Oversee core operational processes, including lead scoring and database maintenance (e.g., diagnostic tests, import/export, reduction).
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns in Marketo.
  • Ensure data compliance (GDPR), cleanliness, and proper tracking within the Marketo instance.
  • Manage and resolve Marketing Automation support queries, taking timely action to address issues.
  • Assess and implement technical changes to configurations or programmes as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketo Support and other third-party application support teams, providing clear requirements and test criteria.
  • Evaluate new Marketo releases and work with Marketing to identify development opportunities.
  • Provide end-user training and support.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach when working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, its products, operational processes, and the system configuration.
  • Proactively expand domain knowledge and technical skills to maximize the value of Marketo and integrated applications for the business.

Skills, experience & qualifications required

  • A few years of solid, proven Marketing automation experience, ideally with some of that experience spent as Marketing Automation Admin.
  • A Marketo Certified Expert credential is highly desirable.
  • Previous Salesforce experience is desirable.
  • A problem solver, solution orientated.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Data and experiment driven with a bias for action.
