Interim Management Accountant - Part-time (2x days/week)

Up to £350/Day

3-month contract

With an international presence and a loyal customer base this flourishing and entrepreneurial company is focused on solidifying its position at the forefront of the industry. Backed by significant investment across diverse markets, the company is poised for continued growth and innovation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance, supporting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts. We are looking for a proactive, audit-trained professional who is eager to contribute to the business on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

• Compiling monthly statutory management accounts in compliance with FRS 102 and the month-end checklist.
• Preparing and reviewing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation, covering areas such as inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.
• Preparing the year-end trial balance and overseeing the preparation of statutory accounts by an external party.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of the annual external audit, acting as the primary point of contact for the auditors.
• Supervising the accounts’ payable function, as well as reviewing and approving weekly payments.
• Submitting quarterly UK VAT returns and managing import/export VAT oversight.

The Candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally from an audit background.
• Experience of preparing management accounts.
• Ability to identify and drive efficiencies and process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong excel and problem-solving skills.
