Private Client Legal Secretary West Midlands Full-Time or Part-Time | Competitive Salary
An established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join its Private Client team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a background in legal secretarial work.
While experience in Private Client is preferred, candidates with a legal secretarial background in other practice areas who have a genuine interest in this field will also be considered.
The Role
As a Private Client Legal Secretary, your responsibilities will include:
Providing comprehensive secretarial support to Private Client solicitors.
Audio and copy typing of legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
Opening and maintaining case files, document management, and time recording.
Handling client enquiries, taking telephone messages, and liaising with clients professionally.
Making outbound calls to clients and third parties, providing information as required.
Assisting with accounts procedures, including completing relevant documentation.
Supporting fee earners in progressing standard casework.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary is essential, ideally within Private Client law, but other legal experience will be considered.
Strong keyboard, audio typing, and IT skills.
An understanding of legal practice and procedures.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative to support the legal team.
Candidates should be based within a 30-minute commute of the office.
Part-time applicants with relevant experience may be considered.
Holiday entitlement: 28 days per year (including bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after 12 months of service.
