Our client is a leading engineering service provider in specialist hygienic mechanical and electrical systems, working almost exclusively in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. The company is synonymous with the highest standards of quality and service, delivering innovative process solutions that improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs for clients including Nestle, Coca Cola, Arla, Gaymers Cider, GlaxoSmithKline, and Unilever. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pipe Fitter TIG Welder to join the company's Birmingham office, supporting a variety of projects across the West Midlands.

Duties

1. Fabricating and butt-welding schedule 20 and schedule 40 mild steel and stainless steel pipework up to 8" diameter.
2. Working with 1" to 4" OD thin wall stainless steel and some jacketed pipework spools.
3. Fitting the fabricated pipework and manufacturing brackets and associated pipe supports.
4. Assisting other pipe fitter welders as necessary.

About you

Based ideally in the West Midlands, you will need to live within a commutable distance of B30 1JR. Demonstrable experience in pipe-fitting and stainless steel TIG butt welding within a food, drink, or petrochemical processing environment is essential. You'll also need good all-round welding experience with current or previous coding to back this up.
