Our client, a leading subsidiary of a global potato seed group, is seeking an Assistant Technical and Field Manager to join their team in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to contribute to the company's success in the potato seed industry.

Position Overview

The Assistant Technical and Field Manager will work closely with the team to achieve the company's goals by monitoring field activities, building relationships with growers, and collecting and reporting data on the company's systems. We are looking for someone with a fantastic attitude who is ready to learn and develop. You don't need to have years of experience to succeed in this role but a background within Agriculture would be required.

Responsibilities

1. Visit growers to confirm planting details and assess progress
2. Monitor yield predictions, quality in storage, and sizing
3. Build relationships with growers and find additional land
4. Collect and report data on company's systems

Requirements

1. Ability to collect and report data accurately
2. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
3. Willing to travel within assigned area
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
5. Able to work from an office and occasionally from home
