Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in cloud computing, cloud market, engaged dynamics, and customer buying behaviours, along with public Cloud (GCP).
  • Experience in design, architecture, and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems and cloud native applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, influence audiences, and identify expansion engagements.
  • Experience with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Experience prospecting, building, and maintaining customer relationships, with a passion for building Greenfield territories in Enterprise accounts.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environments and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure needed to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
