Senior Finance Analyst Aberdare

Your New Company

Hays are pleased to partner with a reputable manufacturing company in Aberdare as they are on the lookout for their next Senior Finance Analyst. The ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Analyst role would be a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in finance and accounting. They should possess at least 5 years of experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, and be proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite. A qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) is preferred. This person should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey financial insights to senior management. Additionally, they should be adaptable, able to work in a hybrid environment, and capable of acting as a strategic business partner for the UK entities.

Your New Role

  1. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business decision-making, including profitability, cost, and variance analysis.
  2. Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
  3. Ensure timely and accurate cost accounting to inform senior management about the manufacturing site's performance.
  4. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  5. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  6. Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  7. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed business decisions and recommend appropriate actions.
  8. Identify and assess potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  9. Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  10. Act as a business partner for the UK entities.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
What Experience You Will Need
  1. A degree in Finance and Accounting.
  2. Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) is preferred.
  3. 5+ years of experience in finance roles.
  4. Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  5. High proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Experience with PowerBi is a plus.
  6. Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
