Claims Assessor - Group Income Protection

Our client, a respected insurance company, has a new opening for an experienced Income Protection Claims Assessor. This is a full-time permanent position, specifically this role will be working on disability claims, including Income Protection and Critical Illness products. This will be a hybrid role with lots of flexibility to work from home.

You will be responsible for:

1. Efficiently and accurately assessing Income Protection claims.
2. Providing support to clients regarding absence management.
3. Identifying non-valid and fraudulent claims and ensuring the accurate assessment of liability.
4. Timely review and follow-up of all in-payment income protection claims to verify continued entitlement to benefit.
5. Mitigating measures available and accurate claims reserving.

Applicants should have:

1. Excellent technical knowledge and awareness of Group Income Protection claim assessment and management.
2. Previous claims decision-making authority (essential requirement).
