Position Overview

Head of Planning & S&OP needed with food manufacturing experience for a newly created role.

As Head of Planning & S&OP you’ll report into the Chief Operating Officer for a busy Food manufacturing business.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a business that is going through change, you’ll play a key part in the business where you’ll roll up your sleeves, work closely with the senior leadership team and collaborate across departments to drive improvements in planning processes and operational performance.

My client supplies a great range of products to customers across UK Retail, Foodservice, Wholesale and Food manufacturing sectors. In this newly created role, you will own and drive stock accuracy, improve availability and make a real impact on the supply of premium food products sourced from UK and European suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Day to day you’ll lead the entire end-to-end process of demand planning, forecasting, and manufacturing planning to ensure the business meets customer demand efficiently. You’ll have direct oversight of demand planning, forecasting, and manufacturing scheduling to ensure the alignment between sales forecasts and production capabilities.

Qualifications

To qualify for consideration you will need:

• Experience in S&OP, demand planning, and manufacturing planning from a food manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing the end-to-end planning process, from demand forecasting through to manufacturing scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
• Experience in utilizing demand and manufacturing planning tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, etc.).

This role has hybrid flexibility with occasional travel to other sites in England.
