Job Description
The Construction Solicitor position will hold the following responsibilities:
- Support the business in relation to its construction activities
- Ensuring that cladding activities comply with current laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Draft and negotiate contracts related to cladding projects, including agreements with contractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Act as the lead for all cladding related queries and projects
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with cladding remediation
- Providing strategic advice to senior management as to any safety risks
- Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
- Assist the cladding team by providing advice to support potential recovery actions in relation to cladding remediation costs
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate for the Construction Solicitor position will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Be a qualified solicitor
- Have relevant background working within the construction industry
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be used to working to project deadlines
What's on Offer
This is an Interim position with the opportunity to move to a longer-term contract.
