Project Manager NHS Counter Fraud Authority In Coventry, England, United Kingdom

The NHS Counter Fraud Authority is the national body responsible for all matters relating to the prevention, detection and investigation of economic crime across the NHS. Further information about our work and annual plan for delivering this is available on our website.

As a Project Manager for NHSCFA, there will be many opportunities for you to lead and influence different types of projects. If you are a Project Manager that is methodical with documentation, flexible in their approach and adaptable to change, and you are passionate about stakeholder engagement, this is the role and team for you.

Our new team is embarking on a piece of work to monitor data to identify and respond to patterns indicative of potential fraud. This will support our current work that reduces the likelihood of fraud occurring. We will bring in data science capabilities to be deployed in counter fraud activity and work closely with partners across health and government to further maximise the preventative impact of proactive counter fraud analysis.

The Project Manager within NHSCFA has responsibility for the development and delivery of projects assigned to them. They will work across NHS CFA to ensure the lifecycle of multiple projects is documented, managed, and supports delivery of NHS CFA strategy and business plan objectives. You will deliver various projects allocated by the Programme Manager and work collaboratively with all members of the operational and support teams within the organisation. This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager to work in a very dynamic and varied environment using all your knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver against the NHSCFA project and programme strategy.
  • Manage systems and processes for monitoring, review of programme and project delivery, escalation of delivery concerns, and targeting of action to improve delivery in key areas of activity.
  • Ensure organisation projects are deliverable, with timescales, benefits, and KPIs well defined to support ongoing monitoring to drive successful achievement.
  • Delivery of multiple project streams.
  • Manage systems and processes for monitoring, review of projects and associated performance milestones and benefits delivery, escalation of risks and issues, and targeting of mitigating action.

We have offices based in Coventry, Newcastle, and London and offer flexible, hybrid, office, and home-based working. In addition to the advertised salary, working in the London area will attract High-Cost Area Supplement where appropriate. Preparing detailed analysis of highly complex information held on current and projected delivery and performance issues that may impact success. Develop and inform reports to the NHS CFA Management Groups, SROs, Board, and relevant Committees as required.

Negotiates with and motivates project delivery, including linking in with other initiatives. Communicates sensitive information about project performance delivering complex formal presentations to large groups. Ensuring effective processes for monitoring and review of programmes and projects through NHSCFA Management Groups and Board Committees. Organising workstream and project meetings ensuring delivery with active monitoring, creating agendas, ensuring minutes and actions are documented to ensure delivery and progress is accounted for. Leading and supporting a culture of robust and consistent project management at all levels in the NHSCFA. Working with managers to ensure projects are resourced appropriately to embed success. Management of multiple projects with differing timescales/objectives.
