We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst with a prestigious investment bank in Belfast.

This is a Business Analyst/Project manager role and will support the Markets Program Management Team focused on delivering Regulatory Control remediation initiatives.

The candidate would be an individual with prior BA/PM experience to be able to support delivery and have prior experience in Banking Regulations especially MiFIR/MiFID and Risk & Controls.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Review Regulatory text and determine business impact and requirements.
2. Propose remediation actions and solutions to address Control gaps or insufficient controls.
3. Validate and review documents and controls provided by business or functions as evidence.
4. Coordinate drafting of WG packs, draft minutes, record attendees and follow up on actions for review by Programme managers.
5. Organize meetings, workshops with required stakeholders and track actions.
6. Support in maintaining issue trackers and creating progress reports for management meetings.
7. Follow up with issue owners from Markets and non-Markets businesses for monthly status updates.
8. Review status updates provided by issue owners to ensure they are clear, concise and meaningful.
9. Review upcoming milestones, deliverables and due dates well in advance to ensure actions are completed in a timely manner in Project Tracking system (PTS).
10. Update issue and remediation actions in tracking systems (iCAPs and PTS) based on status provided by Programme managers.
11. Support portfolio level tracking of requirements to meet PM standards.
12. Respond to requests for ad-hoc status and progress reports for governance forums leveraging standard project status reports.
13. Address any other ad-hoc requests as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 5-7 years in BA/PM role in a bank.
2. Prior experience in Banking Regulations especially MiFIR/MiFID, Risk & Controls.
