Job description

Job Title: Primary Teacher (KS2) - Temp to Perm

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Contract: Full Time, Temp to Perm

Start Date: Easter

Experience: Open to Early Career Teachers (ECT) or Experienced Teachers

Position Summary: A primary school situated in Poole, Dorset, is actively seeking a devoted and dynamic Primary Teacher to join their thriving Key Stage 2 team. This full-time role offers a temporary to permanent arrangement, commencing with the Easter term. The school is keen to welcome fresh talent; thus, applications from Early Career Teachers (ECT) as well as seasoned professionals are warmly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
  2. Differentiating teaching methods to cater to the diverse needs of individual pupils, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
  3. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils while providing constructive feedback.
  4. Maintain a stimulating and orderly classroom environment that promotes learning and good behavior.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate activities, and participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole school training events.
  6. Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, adhering to the school’s ethos, policies, and practices.
Essential Criteria:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  2. Sound knowledge of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum.
  3. Ability to create and sustain a positive educational environment.
  4. Strong classroom management skills.
  5. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. A proactive approach to engaging with the wider school community.
Desirable Attributes:
